In this clip from a Property Protégé event, I ask why it is that some people can lose all their money and make it back, while others never do. Simply, it all comes down to their mindset. Their mind is prepared to deal with wealth, and therefore it’s used wisely, or it’s not, and it’s gone. Let’s explore what it takes to master the money mindset…

Property millionaire mindset. So, as I’ve said, mindset is the most important thing. You take someone who has made money and you take their money away and put them in an alternate planet earth, what do you think is going to happen financially for them within a short period of time? They’re going to build it back, right? Would you agree with that? Take someone who’s never had money and give them the winning lottery ticket, what do you think happens to many of those people within a relatively short period of time? They lose it. The money goes. We’ve seen it. You see their pool with their name tiled into the pool, and then the house is up for auction a couple of months later.

You see folk who’ve came from wealth, lost the lot, which I’ve done a couple of times, and thankfully learned the lessons and been through the mistakes so that you don’t have to, and those folk make it back again. Why is it? It’s because this is right. It’s because the right mindset is there, and that’s what I’m going to explore with you this morning. You get this right, you’ve got no problems.

So, no matter your past, you’ve got a spotless future. No matter what’s happened before you walked in that door this morning, there’s a blank canvas in front of you, and you get to paint on it. No matter what your story has been, no matter who you think you are, no matter what excuses you’ve told yourself, no matter what you’ve been brought up to learn, it’s out that door and it’s behind you, and no matter what has happened to this point, it’s done. This is your fresh start. This is your blank canvas.

If a thing is humanly possible, it’s within your reach. Your goal might not be to make a million quid, or more, preferably more, hell of a lot more. But if you did want to, then there are 15 million other people who have done it, and 90% of them plus are first generation wealth. Meaning they didn’t inherit the money, it was created. There has never been a better time to go out there and enjoy free enterprise. It’s an open door guys. This is property and land and development. You cannot lose if you stick in, follow the right principles and work hard. You cannot lose. This is the big game. Forget the homes under the hammer bullshit. We’re going to show you how to do this properly. Your eyes are going to be opened this weekend. If a thing is possible, why not you? And I want you to remind yourself of that every time you start to feel a little bit of pressure, every time you start to feel like things are getting on top of you.

Do any of you guys know someone in your life who’s more successful than you and they’re a bloody halfwit? Does anybody know somebody like that? Hands up. You think “I know I’m smarter than them, why is it that they are there and I am here?” Because there’s certain skills and mindsets that if you apply and follow through, the results come after it. You can be the smartest person on the planet, and sometimes they’re the ones who trip themselves up. The engineers, the thinkers, because they overthink, they overanalyse.

One guy goes out and does the work and starts to make money, the other guy sits and creates fancy spreadsheets with all the objections that he’s going to face when he deals with sellers, and all the answers that he could potentially come up with to deal with them. He’s going to sit and create fancy graphs and spreadsheets and study his goldmine area and create big printouts for the walls so he understands everything. While he’s fucking about doing that for a month, Gethin’s went out and made a bunch of money. You know what I mean? That’s the difference. So, don’t overthink it, just follow the path. Simple as that.

I believe that everyone here is actually meant for this. I believe you’re destined for it, and as cheesy as that might sound, I don’t think you’re in this room by accident. I think that we’re all born with a set of natural inclinations that lead us to where we’re going to go, that’s my belief. I believe that the very fact you’re here, whether you believe in a higher power or not, I think, I do, and I believe that it’s lead us here. I believe that you’re not here by accident, that there’s a world of people who are content to be on sites today, who are content to be sitting at a desk today, who are content to be doing work, but not you. You’ve came here, and I believe that’s inbuilt, but the big question is, will you tap into it? That’s the real question. You’re not here by accident, you’re here because you want more from life, because you want to learn how to do this, and I think that you’re here because that’s your path.

See, I used to think that everything and everybody and everything was against me. I used to think if there’s a God, he doesn’t want me to win. Then I heard a great interview with a guy called Jason Cask, on This Week In Property, did anyone hear that interview? It’s fantastic. Jason is an entrepreneur and a pastor as well, and I was debating these points with him. I was debating money with him. What about this? what about that?

He had great answers for all of it, by the way, but he said to me, “Billy, a lot of folk worry about what their path is, that if they start to believe in something higher, they’ll be taken off the path of their own, but your natural drive is your path, that natural feeling of what you want from life, your natural abilities, that’s your path. If there’s something or someone out there looking out of you then that is the path you’ve been given, it’s how you woke up in the world, but what will you do with it?”

That’s the question. That’s the question. You’re going to be given all the resources, and at the end of this weekend, I’m going to ask you, do you believe you’ve been given every resource possible for success? Every one of you are going to say yes, I know it. I know it because I’ve done this enough times. Every one of you are going to feel great. You’re going to have all the tools. You’re going to have the understanding. Your questions are going to be answered, but then what are you going to do with it is a totally different story. Is this all making sense so far?
